- Your official JEE Main 2026 Session 2 admit card (printed clearly)
- A valid government-issued photo ID — Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, PAN Card, or Driving Licence
- At least two passport-sized photographs matching the ones uploaded during registration
- A photo verification certificate, if you have received a specific email communication from NTA regarding this
Exam day conduct & reporting time
The JEE Main exam day rules are non-negotiable and must be followed by all candidates. Candidates must arrive at the test centre at least one hour before the scheduled reporting time. The examination process begins after all required documents have been checked and biometric tests and seat assignments have been completed because exam administration does not allow late entry into the examination hall.
Candidates must use all rough sheets to write their name and roll number before returning them to the exam proctor. The attendance sheet needs to be completed with clear information before the person needs to sign it and press their left thumb on the sheet which should remain easy to read. A passport photograph must also be affixed at the designated spot on the sheet.
The examination hall prohibits all electronic devices and calculators and study materials and notes and any other study resources. The first offense will lead to automatic disqualification from the event.
Dress code: what to wear, what to leave behind
- Lightweight cotton fabrics are recommended — easy to wear and easy to frisk
- Students can wear normal trousers or jeans which have no metallic studs or heavy chains or excessive pockets
- Clothing should be matched with open-toed sandals or floaters or low-sole slippers
- Clothing with metallic zippers or decorative buttons or badges or metal-threaded embroidery must be avoided entirely
- Caps and hats and belts are not allowed to be worn
- All jewellery must be left at home which includes rings and bracelets and wristwatches and neck chains
The syllabus provides only the beginning for exam preparation. The guidelines need to be known and followed because they determine whether an exam will proceed smoothly or create problems at the entrance. The evening before requires you to check everything again while you should sleep enough and arrive at your test center before your scheduled time.
