CBSE Launches LOC Window for Class 10 Second Board Examination 2026

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially opened the List of Candidates (LOC) submission window for the upcoming Class 10 Second Board Examination 2026. The educational system in India achieves a major advancement through this initiative which operates according to the principles established in the National Educational Policy 2020 framework. The CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2026 Phase 2 examination will provide students who participated in the first board examination their opportunity to improve their results through testing in three subjects which will take place in May 2026.

Students and schools need to understand the CBSE 10th Exam 2026 Phase 2 Details because important deadlines will be missed without this understanding. The CBSE has developed three separate stages for schools to follow in order to complete their LOC submission and fee payment requirements.

• The LOC submission period for Phase 1 has already started on March 18 and ends on March 31 2026. All fee payments must be completed within five days after the results are announced.
• The LOC submission period together with fee payment begins within five days after the results are announced.
• The third phase which includes the late fee window begins on the seventh day after results are announced. The system enables fee payment during this period.

The submission portal will stay active until 11:59:59 PM on the closing date of each phase. Schools have been encouraged to motivate students to register in Phase 1 themselves because this practice enables better planning and organization of school activities.

• The student must have appeared in the first board examination. 
• The student must have sat for a minimum of three subjects in the main exam. 
• Students who passed their exams can now improve their results in three subjects along with compartment students who need to retake their exams. 
• Students who missed three or more subjects during the main exam must wait for the next main examination cycle because they do not meet eligibility requirements.

The second examination remains closed to students who belong to the Essential Repeat (ER) category.

The LOC process prevents new student registrations while it allows only specific board-approved cases for student data corrections and subject change requests.
