The Central Board of Secondary Education has thrown students a curveball just weeks before board exams begin. In a last-minute announcement that’s sending ripples through schools nationwide, CBSE Board Exams 2025 preparations have hit a speed bump with the postponement of crucial papers originally scheduled for March 3, 2026. The reason? Administrative adjustments that couldn’t wait. If you’re a Class 10 or 12 student scrambling to recalibrate your study plans, here’s everything about the CBSE Revised Exam Schedule you absolutely cannot miss.
What’s Changed?
Class 10 students who are preparing for the regional languages paper of Tibetan, Bhoti, Kashmiri, and the foreign language papers of German, Japanese, and Spanish will now get an extra week as these exams are shifting from March 3 to March 11. The students of academic electives such as NCC and Elements of Book Keeping will also be following this new timeline. For Class 12 students, the Legal Studies paper has been postponed considerably to April 10, thus allowing the students a month and more of extra preparatory time.

Why This Matters
The circular of December 29 by Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj gave a clear indication of the fact that though these particular dates had changed, the rest of the examination timetable was still the same. With Mathematics and other important subjects as the first ones to be tested on February 17, the exam period is still the same.
Action Points for Students
The updated CBSE Board Exams 2025 dates will be mentioned on the admit cards. Make sure to check your revised admit cards at once, rearrange your study schedule to fit the new dates, and notify your relatives about the changes. Schools will be asked to make changes to their internal calendars and that all students will have the right notification.
The silver lining? Time on the clock means better preparation. Don’t forget to use it wisely!
