Only our Engineers can make the impossible happen with their great vision and dedication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Right from the medical &amp; construction industry to IT &amp; the automotive sector, the contribution of our engineers is immeasurable. Such a huge role they do play in our day-to-day lives. So let us take a moment to thank and salute our Engineers who have put their heart and soul into their profession, for creating marvelous innovations and also worked day &amp; night to make our daily lives easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why is Engineer\u2019s Day celebrated? <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every Year in India, on 15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of September, Engineer\u2019s day is celebrated to honor the great contribution &amp; the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, one of the brilliant minds behind the construction of dams, reservoirs and hydro-power projects of modern India. He was also honored with Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award of India, for his outstanding contribution to the society by the Government of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Some of the Greatest Engineering Marvels in the History of India that Make Our Country Feel Pride <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li><strong>Statue of Unity, Gujarat<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Engineering fact of the monument: &nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>World\u2019s tallest statue<\/li><li>It took 13 months for the design process and the actual construction was completed in just 33 months.<\/li><li>A total of 25,000 metric tonnes of steel were used for the construction of statue. This also includes 18,500 tonnes of reinforced steel and 6,500 tonnes of structured steel.<\/li><li>Iron extracted from the scrap has been used \u201csymbolically\u201d in the statue. The iron has been processed from the scrap, which was accumulated through a tool collection drive launched by the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust (SVPRET).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Chand Baori stepwell, Rajasthan<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With 13 floors &amp; 3500 steps, India\u2019s thousand years old deepest stepwell is indeed an Engineering Delight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Vitthal Temple, Karnataka \u2013 The Singing Pillars<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The huge pillars of this temple send a different musical tone in the form of SAREGAMA, when tapped gently. It\u2019s an example of extraordinary Engineering Marvel that blends Indian Architecture with Indian Classical Music. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Bogibeel Bridge, Assam <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At 4.94 Kilometers, it\u2019s considered to be the Asia\u2019s second-longest rail-cum-road-bridge. It is also a superstructure that can support movement of heavy armored tanks and can even act as an airstrip for fighter jet landings. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>The Hanging Pillar of Lepakshi Temple<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A 16th Century Temple has 70 pillars except one which defies gravity and hangs from the ceiling. This beautiful temple, also known as Lepakshi temple, is located in the small historical village of Lepakshi in the Indian State of Andhra Pradesh, is famed for being an engineering wonder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>The Gol Gumbaz, Karnataka \u2013 The Whispering Gallery<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><li>The Gol Gumbaz encompasses two engineering wonders- a free-floating dome structure and a whispering gallery.<\/li><li>This striking free-standing dome structure is the largest of its kind in India, and within the building is a whispering gallery, which means whatever you say here can be easily heard across the entire dome, even if you say it in your lowest volume.<\/li><li>The guides at the Temple will excitedly show this magic to you, and almost everyone there will be busy trying it out a thousand times.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Final Thoughts<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Engineer\u2019s Day, let\u2019s appreciate our Engineers for their hard work.
