Round 1 is done. Some of you got a seat, some did not, and right now everyone is refreshing the MCC website every couple of hours hoping for good news. That is fair \u2014 it is a stressful few days. Here is the thing though: MCC has recently released the official dates for NEET UG Round 2 Counselling 2026. What we do have is the 2026 Information Bulletin, and it actually answers the question most people are asking right now \u2014 not \u201cwhen,\u201d but \u201cam I even eligible to go for Round 2.\u201d So let’s set the dates aside for a minute and go through that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOW ELIGIBILITY WORKS: TWO GATES<\/strong>
Every candidate has to clear the same baseline criteria first. Only after that does your Round 1 outcome decide whether Round 2 is open to you. Work through both gates below in order.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Before any of the Round 1 status detail matters, there is a baseline everyone has to meet. Your Round 1 outcome decides where you stand. A candidate who got nothing in Round 1 is in a completely different position from one who got a seat and is now debating whether to keep it. MCC treats each group differently, and it is worth knowing exactly which group you fall into before you do anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which Institutes Are Covered in Round 2?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Round 2 is not limited to All India Quota seats alone. The MCC counselling process also covers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
