The past few weeks have been messy for NEET students. The re-exam announcement came with very little breathing room, and to make it worse, half the updates floating around on social media were either wrong or outdated. I have seen students show up to check the portal only to find broken links, and others who missed refund deadlines simply because nobody told them the window had changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So here is what is actually going on right now. NTA is in the process of putting out the neet city intimation slip for the re-exam, and if you are among those wondering \u2014 is neet city intimation slip released yet \u2014 the answer, as of today, is no. It has not come out yet. But May 31 is the date NTA has given, which means it could drop any time between now and then. My honest advice? Do not wait for someone to forward it to you. Go check the portal yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What the City Slip Actually Tells You (and What It Does Not)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I want to clear up something that confuses a lot of students, especially those appearing for the first time. I repeat \u2014 the exam city slip is not your admit card. It does one job only: it tells you which city your exam centre has been assigned in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will not find the centre address on it. You will not find the reporting time. None of that. What you will find is just the city name, which is honestly all you need at this stage to start figuring out your travel plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exam is on June 21. If your city turns out to be three hours away from where you live, you need those three weeks to book a place to stay, sort your travel, and not end up scrambling the night before. Use this information the moment it comes out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Can You Get the City Slip From the NTA Portal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is no complicated process involved here. When the link goes live, do this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1.&nbsp; &nbsp; Open neet.nta.nic.in on your browser<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2.&nbsp; &nbsp; Click on the Advance City Intimation link on the homepage<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3.&nbsp; &nbsp; Log in using your application number and date of birth<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4.&nbsp; &nbsp; Your allotted city will appear on the screen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5.&nbsp; &nbsp; Download it, screenshot it, save it somewhere you will find it<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One thing worth saying here \u2014 a lot of students forget their application number at the worst possible moment. Please go find it right now, before the portal opens, and keep it written down somewhere accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Admit Card by June 14 \u2014 This Is the One That Actually Gets You Into the Exam Hall<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">India\u2019s Education Minister has confirmed it publicly \u2014 the Re NEET 2026 admit card will be out by June 14, 2026. This is the document that has your actual centre address, the time you are supposed to report, and all the instructions you need to follow on exam day. Without this, you cannot enter the exam hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every student who registered for NEET UG 2026 can download it from the official website. There is nothing extra you need to do to get it \u2014 just log in when it is available, download it, and print a copy to carry on exam day. Do not rely on a soft copy alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exam Is in the Afternoon This Time \u2014 2 PM to 5:15 PM<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is something students need to mentally prepare for. The re-exam timing is 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM \u2014 a total of 3 hours and 15 minutes. Most of us are wired to think of big exams as morning affairs. This one is not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What this means practically: you will probably need to leave home around noon or even earlier if your centre is far. June afternoons also bring heat and heavier city traffic in most parts of India. Do not time your commute too tightly. Reach at least 45 minutes before the gate closes. Centres do not make exceptions for latecomers, no matter the reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fee Refund Portal Is Open Till June 22 \u2014 Do Not Leave Money on the Table<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NTA has extended the NEET UG fee refund deadline to June 22, 2026. You are entitled to get your fee back, but you have to submit your bank account details through the refund portal first. It does not happen automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quick recap, so the dates don\u2019t get lost \u2014 city slip by May 31, admit card by June 14, exam on June 21, and the refund portal closing on June 22. Save these somewhere you can see. Also when you want real official updates, skip the noise and go straight to neet.nta.nic.in.
