Remember: the percentile thresholds are fixed (50th/45th/40th); only the marks corresponding to them move each year with paper difficulty. Qualifying makes you eligible for counselling — government MBBS admission cutoffs sit far higher.
With the delayed cycle (result on 16 July instead of June), MCC counselling 2026 began in August: Round 1 registration opened on 5 August, choice filling and locking ran till 18 August, and the Round 1 seat allotment result was declared on 20 August 2026 with 29,945 MBBS/BDS seats allotted. PwBD ranges: Gen/EWS-PwBD 212–194, OBC/SC-PwBD 193–177, ST-PwBD 191–177. This was a sharp rise from 2025 (144 General, 113 reserved) because the re-exam paper was easier.
